We hope that you enjoy the long weekend and spend some quality time with your student(s). School will be resuming on Tuesday, February 22nd.
Our Valentine's Day Party was a success! Thank you so much to everyone that helped make the parties so enjoyable for the students. You are appreciated!
Our next Book Report is due on Friday, February 25th.
Students should focus on identifying evidence of character traits and giving a detailed summary of the book.
This is a reminder that your student needs to be charging their computer every night. We are having some students come to school with a dead or near-dead computer. Thank you!
💙What We Learned This Week 💛
💙Language Arts: This month, in honor of Black History Month, students are researching information about significant influential black leaders. They are using Britannica Kids to research and fill out their informational forms about their most important achievements.
💛Writing: We started a small group informational writing this week where students chose a topic and began researching their subtopics with their groups. We will continue this throughout the next couple of weeks.
💙Math: We have continued working through Unit 5, which is about Fractions. Students are learning about unit fractions and how to place fractions on a number line.
💛Science: We have started our new Science Unit which is about Invisible Forces. Students engaged in their first experiment dealing with a push and pull force. Ask them about their Hopper Poppers!
💙Social Studies: We are going to take a pause on Social Studies for the next couple of weeks as we transition to Science.
💙WORD STUDY💛
