💙Language Arts: This week, we read a story called "Mr. Peabody's Apple's" where students participated in a variety of activities around the story, including cause & effect, character traits, and compare & contrast.
💛Writing: We continue to work on our writing unit of personal narratives. As students wrote their first couple topics, they reflected on their writing and worked on identifying a couple of goals going forward to improve their writing. For this weeks' topic, students focused on a time when they were scared. They created a Memory Map and a Graphic Organizer to organize their thoughts and ideas.
💙Math: We focused on equal groupings and developing multiplication expressions and equations, including with unknowns. Students took their checkpoint for multiplication yesterday.
💛Science: We have completed lessons 3 and 4 of "The Power of Flowers," which was about why apples are different colors (including taste testing different types of apples) and studying how to create the largest apple in the world.
💙Social Studies: After pausing Social Studies for the last couple of weeks, we will be getting back into it, which includes learning more about Michigan!
