Week of April 11 - 15

We have heard that our students had a wonderful spring break and we were very happy to be back to learning for the last 9 weeks of the school year. Everyone seems refreshed and ready to end the year strong. Lots of learning occurs during these last 9 weeks!

  • MANY students this week were without water bottles and snacks. Please work with your child to set a routine and prepare for the school day. A water bottle is a must to stay hydrated and able to learn throughout the day.
  • When discussing the routine with your child, please include:
    • Charging computers
    • packing snacks & water bottle
    • reading on a daily basis
    • and taking the reading book to and from school

Walking Track Has Returned!!!
Our students are very excited that the walking track is returning on Monday! Bring those token necklaces and encourage your student to get walking on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays during lunch recess.

All book reports were due today. We are now starting on new books to share with the class! The next book report will be on April 29th.

Our Family Night is scheduled for Tuesday, April 19 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm.

💜What We Learned This Week 💜

💜Language Arts: We have continued with our reading groups and our students had our first experience with the M-STEP.

💜Writing: Projects were submitted this week! Don't forget to put the Ren Baldwin Technology Festival on your calendars so that you can go view your student's group informational project. Editing and recording can still happen through this weekend but we do need them to be complete.

💜Math: We have continued working through Unit 6 (measurement). This week, our focus has been on using the different types of measurement that we have learned to solve word problems.

💜Science: Our science unit is complete and we will now pause for our next social studies unit.

💜Social Studies:  The chapter 4 test was taken this week. They will be graded over the weekend and returned on Monday.

💜WORD STUDY💜

This week we will begin Unit 20 in word study. We will be learning about the consonant -le pattern at the end of the word.

The words for Friday, April 22nd are:
